Parking: Being in the center of Uptown Charlotte town makes parking a little tough. There are about 20 meter spots 1 block northwest on Trade Street, the closest & cheapest parking deck is the Carillon deck 2 blocks northwest at 227 W. Trade St. Fees are $2 for the 1st 30 min and $1 each 30 min after.

Jill Matthews, Co-Founder & Barber
Along with Co-Founding The CUT Barbershop in March 2009, Jill has ten years experience in opening, managing, and growing a steady client base for the "barbershop" clientele, specializing in men's hair.
Jill has also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design from AIU-Los Angeles. Designing a unique environment for the male hair industry was just the beginning of this business venture. Jill also wanted to create an atmosphere where everyone had a blast, not just the customers - but the professional barbers and stylist too. When Jill is not Rockin' out at The CUT you will find her soaking up rays on one of Carolina's beaches or lakes. Jill is extremely proud to call Charlotte home!

John Matthews, Co-Founder
Prior to Co-Founding The CUT Barbershop in March 2009, John was the Chief Financial Officer of Palmyra Capital Advisors a SEC registered investment advisor to three hedge funds.
John has degrees from Michigan State University and Clemson University. While at Clemson John really enjoyed the Carolina lifestyle and knew he wanted to eventually make it back. Creating Uptown Charlotte's best Barber Shop seemed to be the perfect opportunity.
John really wanted to help design a modern barbershop but at the same time bring back the local hang out appeal the barber shop lost. When John is not relaxing at his favorite barbershop enjoying a beer and the football game he is probably at one of Charlotte's great restaurants or sporting venues.

Angela, Stylist
I grew up in Southington, Ohio. After I graduated high school, I moved to Columbus, Ohio and attended Ohio State School of Cosmetology.
In 1996 I was hired at one of the largest salons in the country. I worked there for 14 years and became ranked 24 out of 250 stylists and was working on their hair cut design team doing fashion shows and teaching furthering education for our whole staff.
The past summer, I was on Tour with Motley Crue all over Europe doing all kinds of different events, so when I saw the concept of a Uptown Charlotte Rock and Roll barber shop, I knew it was for me!
Nat Vazzana, Master Barber
Nat was born in Florence, Italy. While in Florence, Nat grew up in an old school Italian family and obtained an appreciation for the fine arts Florence had to offer. As a young man Nat moved to Washington D.C. where he began his barbering career. It did not take Nat long to establish a reputation as DC best Barber and within a few years Nat was cutting hair for our nations Congressmen.
Nat is now a Master Barber and has brought his high level of talent to The CUT Babershop here in Charlotte. Nat is one of our most experienced barbers.
Lisa, Stylist
I have been doing hair for 7 years. While going to school for hair I modeled for a custom motorcycle builder out of Auburn Hills, MI doing photo shoots, signing posters at events & traveling to different states for motorcycle show and rally's (even went out to Sturgis, SD for one of the biggest biker rally's - pretty much for the parties and rock concerts every night :).....so much fun!)
I helped open up a new salon in Rochester Hills, MI for a year before moving here 3 years ago.
I specialize in Men's haircuts of all types.
Nicole, Stylist
Originally born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL but grew up here in Charlotte. I have been a licensed cosmotologist and performing great haircuts for the past 8 years. Along with my career as a stylist I have done some modeling and acting in TV commercials and fashion shows around the local Charlotte area.
I love making people feel confident about their appearance. Every year I attend classes to further my education as a stylist and to keep up-to-date with the newest styles.
Kayla, Front Desk
I was born and raised in Marion, Ohio and moved to Charlotte for college. I attend UNC Charlotte and am double majoring political science and criminal justice. I want to go to law school and become an attorney.
For now, I just love being spontaneous, having fun with friends and working with Charlotte's best Barbers & Stylists!
